First of all, what is a U-turn?
Well, a U-turn is a term used in driving. It actually refers to that move or maneuver that drivers do when doing a 180 degree rotation. This move is done so as to change directions. To put it simply, you might be on the left lane when you realized that you do need to go the other way. Thats when you make a U-turn. And this maneuver is called such because the whole deal looks like the letter U.
It is important to note thought that there are some areas where this move is considered to be illegal. If you would notice while you drive through various roads and streets that there are some areas which have signs that proclaim that they are for U-turn maneuvers only. These signs are often put in areas which are quite busy.
So how do you exactly make a U-turn?
Just simply keep in mind to always be cool and calm while doing this move. That way, despite the high number of motorists and vehicles speeding past you, you would still have good control over yourself and your car.
You switch on the turn signal. This turn signal would be the one that would show other people and motorists the direction of the turn that you are taking. As you do so, check for oncoming traffic. Also, make sure that the location where you would be doing your U-turn allows this maneuver. Keep in mind that U-turns should not be attempted across a double yellow line as well as areas where there are signs that indicate that this move should not be done there.
Make sure that you have enough room to make the complete turn. See to it that you would have enough space without hitting the curb or any other vehicle. Volvo calls this vehicle the true convertible. After 16 years of turning drivers into fanatics, things are looking up for the fourth incarnation of the Eclipse, but there is still a lot at stake for Mitsubishi. When the Eclipse first debut in 1990, it became an instant hit in the rave young car buyers demographic, helping Mitsubishi launch additional models including the mid-sized Gallant and the compact Lancer Evolution. In 1995, the car was redesigned to compete more aggressively with Honda Civic and the Acura Integra. Although the 2007 Eclipse has curb appeal with shapely wheel wells, a lavishly appointed interior and a torque rich engine (263 horsepower in GT and 162 horsepower in the GS), there are a lot of cars in the $19,669 $25,389 price point. Facing competition from the Acura RSX, Mazda RX-8, and Toyota Scion, the 2007 Eclipse has been extensively reworked to retain its share of the youth market.

Additionally, the car with its front mounted engine and front wheel drive has 62% of its weight in the very front, rather than towards the center, compromising cornering. Moreover, the 2006 Eclipse does not feature traction control for better handling to compensate for this imbalance on wet or slippery surfaces on all its models. (Traction control is only available as an option on the more expensive GT.) Lastly the new Eclipse has gained weight. At 3,450 lbs its not the lithe, minimalist two-door sports car should be.
Two excellent engines are at the heart of 2007 Eclipse. The GS features the 2.4 liter inline-four engine with 162 horsepower, and the GT (grand touring) has a more powerful 3.8 liter V6 engine with 263 horsepower. Peak output occurs at 4,500 rpm propelling the GT from 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds. Additionally, the new car is filled with a variety of safety innovations, such as front and side airbags, ABS braking, impact absorbing cabin that detracts from the more Spartan racing feel of the predecessor.
One look of the 2007 Eclipse Coupe or Spyder proves that life doesnt have to be boring. In the Spyder, the roof can be lowered in 19 seconds to instantly improve your outlook. And the coupe with its quintessential high-performance flourish invites you to be always on the go. Although you may not be able to place your tires to the curb if you community is involved with curbside recycling, the recycling plant may be able to take the tires off your hands. Look to the phonebook or internet to find a recycling facility near you and make a quick visit or telephone call to see if your tires are able to be recycled.
Most tire stores that provide you with new tires for your ATV will be able to take your old ones. Before you make the change, be sure to ask the tire center what they do with old tires if you are concerned about the environmental impact unused rubber causes. Also, there may be a slight fee involved with properly disposing of your old tires, so know this amount upfront in order to prevent any surprises at the cash register. The state in which you live may have certain regulations or fees involving tire disposal, and this is often incorporated into your bill and is listed separately from the cost of the new tires or the labor to install the tires on your ATV.
If your old tires still have life in them, consider giving them to a friend or family member with an ATV. Keep in mind that old tires should only be used if they still have ample tread and are able to ensure the vehicle can be driven safely. Also, consider selling your old ATV tires so that you can use the profits to buy a new set. Look to your local newspaper and list a classified advertisement or turn to the internet with sites like Ebay or Craigslist to sell your tires. These are great resources and you may even find a new set of ATV tires listed at a more economical price than offered at your local tire store.

If you are considering buying a car for the first time, you might not know where to begin. Making such a major purchase is most likely the first step in your financial life, so it is very important to take it seriously.

• Do you have a budget? If you don’t already have one, create one. It will help you determine how much car you can afford. Don’t forget vehicle-related costs outside of a new car payment, particularly insurance costs. Premiums for many young drivers can be as much as the monthly car payment. Don’t forget to include maintenance, gas and taxes.
• Have you pulled your credit report? Your credit history may affect your finance rate, so it’s a good idea to get a copy of your free credit report before heading to the dealer. Go to www.annualcredit report.com for yours.
• Have you shopped around? Do some homework before you decide which car to buy and where to buy it. Call your bank or credit union. Talk to dealerships. Print out all quotes and keep them in a folder that you bring with you when you shop for the car. Whether you finance through your dealer or elsewhere, there are typically no penalties to refinance if you’re not satisfied.
• Do you know how finance rates are determined? Vehicle financers use a number of factors to determine the finance rate they will offer you, including your credit score, the price of the vehicle you would like to purchase, manufacturer incentives, the amount of your down payment, your debt repayment options and the length of the finance contract. The rate offered to you may be negotiable.
• Is there someone you could ask to be a co-signer if needed? If you are under the age of 18, are currently not employed, do not have a credit history or your credit history is not good, you may need a responsible person to co-sign the finance contract for you.
• Do you know the difference between leasing and financing? Know what an APR is? Credit insurance? Guaranteed Auto Protection? You need to educate yourself on these terms and understand the value and price of aftermarket products. If you don’t want something, don’t sign for it.
According to Eric Hoffman of AWARE, if you answered “no” to one or more questions, go back and hit the books before you buy a car or truck. Said Hoffman, “Consumers, especially those at the beginning of their financial lives, need to be vigilant about understanding the vehicle-financing process. If you make mistakes along the way, they can follow you for years.”

I must admit that the first time I heard about Mercedes new safety system I had thought that it was something that was still years away from becoming available. How wrong I was! The PRE-SAFE system, as it is called, is a terrific way to enhance passenger safety and one that should be adopted by other automakers. Yes, I am sure that it isnt a cheap system but as it is with so many technological advances the price is bound to drop and the system or something like it will become widely available across the board.
Introduced with select Mercedes models in 2003, the PRE-SAFE system automatically kicks in moments before a collision. All it takes is a panic stop or a skid and the system is set in motion; here is what occupants can expect moments before a crash occurs:
